Can I
get a scholarship for online learning degrees?
You can definitely get a scholarship
when you are earning your degree online, however, they are not as plentiful
as scholarships for students earning degrees in a traditional classroom
setting.
With online learning many schools
feel there is less need to provide any subsidization because expenses
are significantly lower than if you were at actually attending school
in the classroom. Because you have no commuting costs as well as much
more flexibility in the time you spend working, many students are still
holding down jobs and just don't need any scholarships to subsidize their
learning.
However, for other reasons
some students still need to have a scholarship or financial aid in order
to attend a school. If this is the case for you, you do have options.
If you need a scholarship,
check with the school you are interested in applying to. When you request
information about each school, each should include information on financial
aid or any scholarships available. And if the information request form
asks you to submit any questions, be sure to include this information.
