Cupcakes are turned into a
huge trend recently, especially thanks to the many celebrities using them
at parties and events. And today's cupcakes are nothing like the sickly
sweet concoctions that you remember from childhood... we are talking cupcakes
that are like a piece of art.
If you love to decorate cakes,
you can use many of those skills to create fabulous cupcakes for events
such as birthdays.
You need to check laws in your
city or town. Many have rules restricting the baking of goods to be consumed
by people to a commercial kitchen only, meaning you cannot make the cupcakes
in your own household kitchen. Some cities do allow baking in your own
house but only if you have a seperate commercial grade kitchen in your
house.
You will also need to consider
such things as a minimum order or if you will allow people to order smaller
quantities of a larger variety of cupcakes, such as 3 cupcakes each of
10 different styles, for a total order of 30 cupcakes.
Don't forget how important
a website is, so you can showcase your different cupcakes to those who
are looking online to see what you offer. Not to mention this is much
more convenient for you if you don't have a storefront location.
