Inventory for Your Home Party Plan Business
Network marketing companies
generally do not require consultants to keep any inventory on hand, beyond
what is in your sample kit. The company fills the orders for you and sends
their products to you for delivery, or some will ship the order directly
to the customers.
Some consultants do keep a
small inventory on hand for instant sales. Depending on the type of products
you sell, consider keeping a few of your best selling products on hand,
and keep them handy (such as in the trunk of your car). If someone shows
interest in something particular, be sure to mention you have one for
sale in your car, and it will save her on shipping.
There are also other occassions
where you will want to keep extra inventory on hand. If you are doing
a trade show or a craft show you will want products on hand for instant
sales. Same with participating in a fund raiser, or any other event where
there is the potential for someone to say they would like to purchase
a particular product right then and there.
Before you go ahead and order
what could end up being excessive amounts of product, find out what the
return policy of your company is. Some encourage their consultants to
keep inventory onhand, and have a very flexible return policy. Others
are much more strict on returns, so be sure you know what your company's
mindset is on this issue before you end up ordering plenty of product
you end up not being able to sell before it is outdated or out of style.
