How to
Check Your Google Backlinks
Link
popularity is an important method to rank highly in Google. You can
use Google three ways to check your backlink count.
First, you can go to any webpage,
click on the I in the blue circle on your Google
Toolbar, and then select "Backward Links" from the drop
down menu. This will take you directly to the search engine results.
If you do not have the toolbar,
you can also use the Google Search box (or the search box in the toolbar).
To do so, you simply need to
use the following syntax:
| link:http://www.example.com |
Obviously, you will need to
replace the www.example.com with your own domain name. And you can modify
to to search deeplinks to internal pages on a site, such as this:
| link:http://www.example.com/directory/page.html |
