WebRank
Yahoo WebRank is a beta feature,
which came bundled in a special beta release of the Yahoo
companion toolbar. Unfortunately for webmasters, unless you downloaded
it when it was available in mid-March 2004, you are out of luck until
Yahoo decides to offer another beta release, or makes it standard issue
with the regular Yahoo toolbar.
Essentially, WebRank works
much in the same way as Google's PageRank
does. It gives each site a ranking out of ten, and displays it on a special
button on their toolbar. Instead of running horizontally, it runs vertically.
Here is an example of how WebRank
looks on the toolbar. We also included the Google PageRank for comparison
between the two.
